What about the role?
As a Kafka Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Kafka clusters and providing support to users. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, incident resolution, user support, documentation, communication, training, and knowledge sharing.
This is a full-time on-site role based in Riyadh.
What about the role responsibilities?
Monitoring and Alert Handling: Monitor Kafka clusters for performance, availability, and security.Respond to alerts promptly and take appropriate actions or escalate as necessary.
Incident Resolution: Address and resolve basic issues related to Kafka clusters and associated components.Collaborate with other support teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
User Support: Provide first-level support to users encountering problems with Kafka-based applications.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving user-reported issues.
Documentation:Maintain and update documentation for standard operating procedures. Create and enhance troubleshooting guides for common issues.
Communication: Communicate effectively with other support teams and stakeholders.Escalate complex issues to the second-level support team as needed.
Training and Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on Kafka best practices and emerging technologies. Provide basic training to end-users on Kafka-related concepts.
What should you have to fit in this role?
Basic understanding of Kafka architecture and components.
Basic understanding of OpenShift architecture and components.
Basic understanding of Gitlab architecture and components.
Familiarity with Linux systems and basic shell scripting.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
Kafka certification (Confluent Certified Developer/Administrator).
Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
